The Transcend Group, founded in 2004, was born out of the dot-com bust of the early 2000s. Our vision was to combine our 45+ years marketing, project and event management, and technical expertise with our zeal for “customer excellence” to offer an unparalleled portfolio of client services including marketing, conference and event production and management, tradeshow logistics planning and support, product marketing and technical training, and association management. As companies downsized and moved to outsource a variety of business functions, we were quickly recommended and contracted for a broad range of projects.

In 2004 we reassessed our original vision and determined that while, to date, we had experienced success getting projects due to our broad range of services, our clients and our company would be better served by streamlining our services portfolio and entering into more of a niche market that utilized our top skills. By then it was abundantly clear that the conference and event management element of our services portfolio was not only our forte, but was also our passion. The Transcend Group, LLC was formed in 2005 and has since focused primarily on conference and event production and management, and association management. To date 100% of our contracts have been the result of personal referrals, and ranged from 6 – 7+ year renewals.

Moving forward we are seeking to expand and grow our business. Our priorities include continuing to explore and secure meeting and association management contracts through personal referrals, competing for federal contracts under the women-owned small business contracting program, and the ongoing education and growth of our staff.

The Transcend Group founders, Julie Billado, Brenda Hartl, and Bev Kandra, have held leadership positions at major IT/Telecommunications companies. Our experience and expertise - past and present - includes establishing and managing the relationships and growth of user/customer groups, special interest groups, and consultant liaison programs — including supporting/managing local events, regional/international conferences, and the planning and management of many annual conferences supporting as few as ten to thousands of attendees. We have helped define organizations’ strategic directions, orchestrated end-customer executive programs, product launches, customer loyalty programs and produced small to large sized events globally.
